I wanted you to know, I am making this blog a private one as I feel I need to have a blog where not everyone can see it. I have not written in some time since I mainly blog on my blog for celine & cora lynne. This is a blog for only me or people I know so well to see so that I can blog out my feelings without having to worry if the people I talk about see it. I am back!

I am going to still continue this as a blog but I am considering going private, to make this more my blog. I have added a fundraising thermometer to help keep track of any funds raised for my trip to Camp Barnabas.

Mission/Statement of JOY

This is what I hope to become the mission/statement of my nonprofit JOY when I get it started. JOY stands for Jesus, Others, then Yourself.
3 letters=3 charities that will benefit.
Our mission is to put Jesus first, then others. Since I have a sister with Down Syndrome I feel it is my mission to help charities helping those with Down Syndrome & other special needs. I hope to reach out by sharing with concerned Parents what it is like to have a sibling with special needs & to help other siblings.
People with Down Syndrome can live a normal healthy life!
They CAN dance & sing
They CAN play sports
They CAN live their Dreams if they set their minds on it
They CAN be the most extraordinary people
Please give them a chance & you will see they are MORE ALIKE THAN DIFFERENT!

A new year, a new adventure!

As I started into 2011, I need a new job & kept feeling Gods tug at my heart towards others so I have decided to start my own nonprofit charity! I am praying to start the process soon so that I can benefit my 3 favorite charities that will be annual donations sent to these 3. The neat thing is the name I have picked out is JOY which stands for Jesus, Others, yourself. As you can see it has 3 letters & my nonprofit will benefit 3 charities.
I am praying that I can use this for Gods glory & that through this I might be able to further my fundraising efforts I do at the JBF consignment sales by gaining more access to donations of kids items to sell there for funds for my 3 charities. I raised $1,000 at One of the sales & am still wanting to double or triple that goal.
The 3 charities I hope to benefit:
Reeces Rainbow-a nonprofit organization that helps find adoptive families for waiting special needs children & raise money for each childs grant fund. For more info check out www.reecesrainbow.org
Alternatives Pregnancy Center-helps 1st time moms in need learn how to care for their child. for more info go to http://alternativespc.org/

New fundraiser

I have a fundraiser I want to do. I want to make a quilt & host a "Giveaway". I have not started making it but will soon.

$76.42 more for Quintons grant!

I just raised $76.42 that will soon go to Quintons account! Praying he too might have a full grant soon!
